Oh nothing much going on today, just casually taking coil springs and dampers apart for today's Auto 2 lab.

Sometimes students just need to have fun and letting them paint the valve cover on our 98 Protege shop car was just that. I'm not going to kid you either, it looks really good. It probably increased the horsepower by about 100-200 as well, maybe. 😉

Great to have Mr. Frank Corrente from Moraine Park Technical College come into the FHS Auto Shop today to give a demonstration on safely removing refrigerant from a vehicle's A/C system.

To all my fellow automotive teachers: What technology and/or items do you have, or would you like to have for your class room area (not for the work shop)? I'm trying to brainstorm any upgrades that would be beneficial for teaching just for that area.

A huge thank you to Moraine Park Technical College Auto instructors Frank Corrente and Jim Daniels for taking time out of their busy schedule to give a tour and answer questions for the Fond du Lac High School Auto 2 class yesterday. A great opportunity for students literally right down the road.
