Harold Knight's work depicts the artist Alfred Munnings reading at Lamorna, Cornwall around 1910. The painting was rediscovered in 2019 underneath a painting by Laura Knight. It was probably laid over deliberately but there is no convincing reason why this should have happened.

I’ve been a bit stuck lately so have been drawing on the work of Joan Eardley for inspiration, and to loosen up a bit. I’m reasonably pleased with this one painted from a holiday photograph. One day in Dorset.
