The first APP reunion celebrated a decade of building careers! Alumni shared where they are now & how the APP helped them get there. One alum was incarcerated for 41 years & joined the electricians union after the APP: “I learned a lot in this program; you get what you put in.”

We must leave no talent on the table while building tomorrow's infrastructure. HireLAX trains people who live in the community—especially women and people of color—for construction jobs at LAX Airport. Programs like this are timely and needed across the USA.

#FlashbackFriday In 2019, I met Marcia at a construction workshop co-hosted by PCLConstruction & Marqueece Harris-Dawson. Marcia’s curiosity * interest led her to enroll w/ the Apprenticeship Readiness Program Flintridge Center. She graduated w/ aspirations to become an @ibew11 union electrician.

3 years later, it is so great to see Marcia’s goal come to fruition. She’s a first period apprentice w/ Morrow Meadows 🥳 In the words of the late Nipsey Hussle, “you gotta go hard, you gotta believe in yourself…” I’m so inspired by Marcia, hard work pays off. #PCLCalifornia
