Tata Steel's actions reveal a fundamental flaw in our economy — a lack of ownership

With 2,800 direct jobs lost and thousands more affected, we cannot afford to be bystanders.

We must fight alongside the workers for a future Wales owns.

Steelworkers handed a petition, with 30,000 signatures, to the Senedd calling for government support for the future of the steel industry.

Tata may have made their decision, but we must now see decisive action from government who must explore every avenue to safeguard Welsh steel.

This will be a massive blow to workers, communities and primary steelmaking.

Months of consultation should have led to a better outcome.

Whatever happens next, we must continue to stand in solidarity with steelworkers.
