Overall thoughts… This is the best roster we’ve seen in decades. Last year was the deepest team I’ve seen in my time of following ND. The top end talent wasn’t there at certain positions. Yesterday showed me that’s changed…and we didn’t even see some of ND’s best players.

And yes, it’s felt like ND had been on the cusp for so long. Dating back to 2012. But you come to realize how big the gap was between being really really good, and being elite. We even saw it in the championship game 4 months ago. That gap has now closed.

Finally, I’ll close on this. The stars have to align to win it all. It’s SO difficult for that to happen. Experience, culture, depth, top end talent, no holes on your staff. I just feel comfortable in saying ND is there. This team will be dominant. It could be special.

And there you have it. Officially a 2 man QB battle in South Bend.

Al Washington completely elevated his recruiting game during this cycle. Acquires 4 DUDES at the D-line, and the 2026 class is now set. Freeman’s best, one of the country’s best, and Notre Dame’s best in more than a decade. Objectively, these are scary times for other programs.

The 2025 receivers class is gonna be a LOT better than most would’ve thought. Jerome Bettis Jr is giving me a Cory Robinson vibe. Scrap is reportedly electric. Elijah Burress slowly becoming the standard in the WR room. Mike Brown- good at evals.

#NDnation is starved to see who the next face of their program is going to be. I’ve been following ND football since 2006. Aside from when BK skipped town, never has it been more desperate for intel than it is now ⏰☘️.

We obviously haven’t seen enough with our own eyes on either Carr or Minchey. But let me ask- When you envision the product in week 1, who can you more vividly picture leading the offense? It’s a thought that’s been rattling around, and I want to hear your take.

Idk who needs to hear this, but regardless of who’s starting at QB, ND is going to be a really fun offense to watch this year…way too much to be excited about.
