GMC As a member of the public I have far more trust in Dr Benn than I do in anyone involved in this ridiculous decision.

GMC No! You do not become the arbiter of someone’s personal politics that do not impinge on their ability to conduct patient care. If that is in your charter / articles THEN IT SHOULDN’T BE. All you’ve done is make a country less safe today.

GMC The law is not always in line with the best interests of patients and the public. Dr Benn bravely acted to protect patient safety and not for personal gain. She is on the right side of history. I am shocked and saddened that the GMC cannot recognise this.

GMC This is an appalling decision by the GMC. There is no evidence that the doctor concerned is not fit to practice. Why should she receive more punishment (deprivation of livelihood) than a non-doctor who has committed the same offence?

GMC You have deprived a community of a much loved & compassionate GP! Someone who cares about the environment should be applauded as a great example for humanity

The GMC may like to pretend they are not making a political judgement but [as an ex GP/Psychiatrist and ex MSP] i say they are acting as an arm of state control.

GMC I see a total lack of evidence of anyone else backing up this decision. You seem to be not very highly regarded by the professionals you represent. As a member of the public, upon seeing this, I feel you are not fit for purpose.
