🚇 We're building on our investment in Scotland’s railway infrastructure by investing in the services connecting our cities. 📢 We're replacing the current Intercity fleet with trains which provide more comfort and accessibility for passengers whilst reducing emissions.

Great to be invited to speak at the Armadale Shed re-opening following the fire last March. The Armadale Community really rallied round in support of the Shed.   Congrats Ian, Jan, the team and members restoring and re-equipping the Shed which is at the heart of Armadale

Brexit has been a disaster for Tourism and Hospitality sector in Argyll, Bute & South Lochaber. We have jobs, but we don't have the people to fill them. Labour in Scotland said they would be open to the The SNP idea of a Scottish visa. Seems they didnt tell their London bosses

I recall trying to amend Labour’s Housing Bill in the Scottish Parliament over 20 years ago to end ‘right to buy’ but then Labour Housing Minister Jackie Baillie and Wendy Alexander rejecting it. It took an SNP Government to scrap it to protect the supply of Council houses.

In 2001 the then Scottish Housing Minister extended the 'right to buy' scheme. It ultimately led to a shortfall in affordable housing for rent. The minister? Jackie Baillie. news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/…
