Inevitable perhaps but sad nonetheless. A reflection perhaps of how much it takes for volunteers to run sporting clubs, churches and so on in their spare time.

Lucky loved Lindean so maybe that's it. As we never swam there on the few occasions he came he barked at the bank at my stupidity. But I've only swam once since he's gone even though I know I love it and feel better for it. Forced myself this morning. It was good. Sad but good.

A great opportunity for hands on experience of this very important aspect of nature restoration!

Day 2 of my Borders reviving and a visit to the glorious Abbotsford home of Sir Walter Scott. I def have writer's envy of his study!! And his library...
