I’ve peer reviewed a paper on Amazon freight network optimization and I thought that’s the farthest outreach for me. Today I saw this, the “tourism” in the title made me open it instead of deleting. Maybe they know I am on three-day count down from my trip to the Carribeans?

Caught me at a bad time so I requested a withdrawal. Two previous rounds of reviews each very positive but after thoroughly addressing all comments and adding analyses/discussions, bam-two new reviewers after a 3 month review cycle. 1+ months in the 3rd cycle and I inquired…

Just finished my reviews for this year’s AAPM. Due to this intended or unintended unusual assignment scheme, I got 1/3 of mine from hard core imaging physics. It took longer to review b/c of it. But good news: instead of feeling same old, everything seems new and interesting! :D

Saw a “Leo” under installation at a community site. They were also talking about getting photon-counting CT for rad onc. Made me very jealous…considering how much work we just spent convincing our academic site to buy new instead of used CT sims for our replacement project

All the more reason for more medical AI research! I too tried to trick AI with a highly zoomed in pic of my favorite fruit, but it correctly told me it’s a pineapple with even the right camera angle
