If you want to understand why this gets me so angry, listen to this clip. 👇 it's not about Claire Lehmann. And it's not about COVID. That just pulled most masks off in full. We don't reach this level of corruption but for capture of media and "centrists"

Ok, let's plain speak false and an "awakened" consciousness from the Left's POV. For the left, the world is broken because it was built around the wrong center, a false order pretending to be natural. The small "Power" wheel represents that old center. It looks stable, but it's

UPROAR You bring up a critical point: we must NOT let anti-communism turn us into reactionaries. That plays right into the hands of the enemy and is a sure way to lose. But we are incredibly close to losing our republic to the communists, so the time for playing nice is over (has been

A humble rant about free speech, Charlie Kirk, & 'cancel culture' There's so much confusion about free speech in America -- because there are two different forms of it. There's 'constitutional free speech', to prevent gov't tyranny through censorship, as codified formally in

This is well written and helpful. I do wish that Pam Bondi had not said what she said about hate speech because that was close to government censorship through tyranny.

Charles Murray (@charlesmurray) 's Twitter Profile Photo

I like this framing of the free speech problem, and it makes me more sympathetic to nonviolent cancel culture. Therein lies the left's special problem: Much of the effectiveness of cancel culture in academia is the threat of violence--even before last week, few universities were

🧵Thread🧵 The outrage over Kimmel’s canning is incredibly stupid, but it’s also enormously rich coming from the same media outlets who have cheered the government actually censoring people, particularly during COVID. Let me know if you can spot the difference in tone? ⤵️

“Revolutionary Empathy” That is what many of you are seeing for the 1st time. These shifted displays of cruelty toward Charlie Kirk, his wife & their kids? You’re confused and want to know what that is? Those are the Revolutionaries I told you about: youtu.be/M2F__2-NdAg?si…

"Cancelling" is like violence. It's a broad concept. Pushing and bombing both are violence. "Use of force continuum" exists for a reason. Specific "cancellations" for specific (support of) actions isn't the same as broad spectrum censorship justified by vague appeals to "harm".

How not to be Woke 1. Affirm a belief in universal limiting moral principles 2. Encourage individual moral responsibility and duty 3. Don’t operate on Friend/Enemy. Every human being is capable of good and evil 4. Be resilient and discerning against manipulation and

No. If the United States continued to be allies with the Soviet Union (which I assume you mean with communists) after the war then the answer would be 'yes'. Since we aren't in the middle of a literal Total War this gotcha-whataboutism hybrid doesn't really work.

Luke Glowacki nature A reply I received from a nature editor in October 2023, after politely refusing to suggest "alternative reviewers from underrepresented communities". They're blind to the internal contradictions of their stance , and the damage they're causing with it.

Luke Glowacki nature One of the most pernicious delusions of Western institutions is that equal representation of all demographics in all activities is worthwhile or even possible. There’s no good evidence that underrepresentation of certain groups is due to discrimination, and no good evidence that

Why? Do you know something about her to warrant that? Has she been callous & cruel to men & asserted that she doesn't need them & can defend herself? Is there a reason for punitive glee at her being unaided while in potential risk of being 'fucked up?" 1/2

One of the hardest lessons to accept is that being unpatriotic is an indicator of assimilation and often a requirement for upward social mobility.
