Cambridgeshire Year 6 English Challenge 2024 Winners - Fenstanton and Hilton Primary School! 🏆
Our whole school are so proud of these children, who represented us so wonderfully well. It was great to share the success in this morning's assembly!

Last month, eight of our Year 6 pupils took part in the Rotary Club of St Ives Primary School Quiz. Our fabulous team achieved second place and won £50 to spend in school! We were visited by Sandra & Iain from the Rotary Club, who presented our team with their certificate.

Just a selection of the 150+ entries we received for our 'Peg Character' competition on World Book Day. One child from each class was presented with a £10 book voucher today, from our wonder PTA team. Thank you to everyone who supported this activity! Happy reading!

We had a fantastic group of Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts (inc. Sea Scouts!) showing their colours today, as part of Founder's Day 2024. Thank you for supporting this from home!
We discussed the positive values of these groups in our assembly today. 👏👏

We were treated to some fabulous poetry performances this morning. Years 1-6 shared their work with the rest of the school with great confidence. Well done everyone! Have a great half term break!

Our Safer Internet sessions with OpenView Education are underway in the school hall. Years 1-6 will have either an assembly or a workshop today, and we are looking forward to welcoming parents and carers to school this afternoon. Safer Internet Day

We were so proud of our 'BMX Performance Squad' today! Eight children from Year 5 and 6 worked with MikeMullenBMXAcademy to create a performance to share with the rest of the school. Great work everyone!!

We enjoyed a fantastic day with MikeMullenBMXAcademy on Friday. We were treated to a performance by Mike to start the day, before our Year 5 and 6 children took part in their workshops. I think we were all inspired! We are looking forward to seeing Mike again on 10th October.

Our children are very much enjoying their sessions with guest author James Campbell today.

Our Y6 children are enjoying their last morning at PGL in the sunshine! After fencing, jacob's ladder and problem-solving activities yesterday, their bags are packed their rooms are tidy! They will be 'home' for a usual collection time of 3.20pm.

PGL 2023 update:
All the children had a big breakfast at 7.35am today and have been involved in archery, abseiling, orienteering and the giant swing this morning! They are enjoying lunchtime now and will be raft building this afternoon! What a day! Have fun everyone!

Good evening! Our Year 6 children are setting in PGL Schools & Groups Caythorpe Court. They have enjoyed an activity already and have been settling into their accommodation. Please share this message if you see it, as we were not able to send a message out from the office earlier today. RM

It was great to visit Hilton Feast Week last week. What a wonderful event for the community there! Our children had created 'Wanted' posters before the end of term to be displayed throughout the marquee. What a great job they did!! The posters looked amazing!!🖼️

The great escape has been on for our chicks today!!
Klee Class spent time this morning trying to create a taller enclosure to keep the little guys contained and safe! We will say farewell to the chicks tomorrow. It's been a real adventure and we will miss them!

We've been looking at the difference in our chicks in less than a week. They're growing lots of wing feathers, and tail feathers are starting to appear. We have also worked out their genders. The yellow ones are male and the brown ones are female. What a week it has been!
