A poignant vigil for Greta Price-Martin, the 22 year old Co Louth IADT student and cyclist who was killed last week. Family, friends and residents in Dun Laoghaire were told by her father, Breffni: “She should have been safe here.” Her mother Vanessa said: “Keep cycling.”

This would have scrapped thousands of people's submissions and thousands of hours of work on the plan to reduce through traffic and speed up buses in the city centre. It was close but the Green group was the only one cohesive enough to work together to save it.

People fought tooth and nail to oppose this safe cycle lane. We're at the cusp of transformative change in Dublin.

Thank god for the cohesive Green Party Ireland block on Dublin City Council who fended off a cynical attempt to scrap the public consultation of the Dublin Transport Plan.

This weekend great progress was made on the Cabra Pond project led by Stephen Shanahan. More landscaping and planting to do but it looks great and will help biodiversity in Cabra. Thanks to Community Foundation Ireland and AXA Parks grant for funding!

Hope to meet lots of our Cabra residents and show what we've been working on lately. Free garden makeovers for some lucky residents, nature table, advice on helping our pollinators and of course a cuppa and cream bun. See you there.

This is just one thing the Council can do to revive Dublin's beautiful laneways instead of surrendering them to anti-social behaviour - showing what our city can look like with a bit of love and attention! 🎨🖌️

Israel is bombing civilians, killing journalists and using starvation as a weapon. These are war crimes. The EU must act on Gaza.

It seems some clarity is needed. NPWS owns these sites and its ecologists will work to restore nature in the area. Bringing damaged habitats like the Conor Pass & Mount Brandon back to good ecological condition is about so much more than erecting a fence and walking away.

Progress in a long, long battle for the future of the Iveagh Markets.

Still much to fight for ahead, but amazing to see some physical progress on the site after so many years of neglect and active destruction.
