Over the summer, some FCPS teachers, like these at EagleTweets engaged in AVMR training. They are so excited to use what they learned this school year.

6th grade teachers at Woodburn Elementary School analyzed student work for fraction and decimal operations. It was so great looking at their thinking and using their strengths to make instructional decisions.

ESOL teachers Lorton Station ES explored science content in depth to expand the language function understanding of classroom teachers next week. Canāt wait to learn more!


After RiversideES 1st and 5th grade teams looked at data around recent lab sites, teachers planned to intentionally incorporate purposeful questioning in their implementation of tasks. They loved using Beth Kobettās book, Classroom Rich Ready Math Tasks, as a quality resource!


Last week EagleTweets hosted an amazing Family Night that focused on literacy, math, and STEAM. Title I was excited to be invited to join and help engage students in the math graffiti wall!


Grateful for a powerful couple of days of learning at the US Math Recovery CouncilĀ® conference! Canāt wait to implement what we learned to make an impact on student outcomes!
