When we ‘shut out’ indigenous processes and learning opportunities we ‘shut down’ the process of bringing local solutions to the mix, and misdirect climate adaptation.

A very potent formula when one combines innovation, gender equality and energy entrepreneurship. A win win for all! This is the essence of INFoCAT - an IDRC funded initiative led by UNU-INRA.

The transition to a green and just transition will be disabled if women are left out of the equation! Women farmers, energy entrepreneurs, household managers are not just part of the solution, they are critical to the process of getting it right!
