May 6th is the day for the swearing-in of the new Swiss Guards at the Vatican. The solemn ceremony is held in memory of the 147 guardsmen who died defending the Vatican and the Holy Father during the Sack of Rome in 1527. Prayers for all my friends in the Pontifical Swiss Guard.

Wishing all my Orthodox friends and followers a joyful and blessed Easter! May the light of Christ's resurrection fill your hearts with hope, love, and peace. Let us rejoice together in the triumph of life over death and in the unity of our shared faith in the Risen Lord.
