Our Far Away from Home study is examining scale and impact of #MentalHealth admissions far away from home or to adult wards for young people. This is a cross-ARC collaboration study with NIHR ARC East of England NIHR ARC Greater Manchester NIHR ARC Oxford and Thames Valley NIHR ARC West Midlands. Our study is looking at the impacts of these admissions on young people, their families and those providing care in both the inpatient and community teams. We hope that by understanding these impacts we can try to reduce them.
