Often I don't comment on twitter, BUT the UK high court ruling today saying there is no confusion between doctors/physicians and PAs (Physician Associates) by misspelling on the first page Royal College of Physicians calling them the Royal college of PAs is embarrassing beyond belief!
The rest of the world looks at what is happening in the UK with Associates and shakes its head in despair. Now the World Medical Council has passed resolutions in the interest of UK patient safety World Medical Association wma.net/policies-post/…

@Matt_W1985 Dr Who OK Anon Anaesthetist This is the cognitive dissonance that underlies the conflict. On the one hand you can top up and do ED. On the other doctors can't top up and do paramedicine. It is a perverse situation where you can only see skill mixing as appropriate in one direction. And this likely
