I just remember as a little kid renting the first two Planet of The Apes movies because they were rated G and at the end of Beneath just being ike “how was that rated G?! What the fuck?!” because it was to that point the darkest shit I’d ever seen.

One of my favorite Beneath the Planet of the Apes things is that they didn’t bother giving Don Pedro Colley’s mutant character a name which lead to his identifier in the credits being *maybe* OK in 1970 but just absolutely wild today.
