The NCBS has honored @EmoryAAS with its 2023 Sankore Institutional Award for outstanding contributions to the development of the Africana/Black studies discipline. The department won for its creation of the Ph.D. program, the first in the Southeast, launching next fall.

I was honoured to bring classes to Mrs Carter Carter Center Projec through her association with our department Emory WGSS. Students appreciated the opportunity to learn about her work with the Equal Rights Amendment and her promotion of mental health care. RIP. Emory University
