Day 1 of FPI’s John Robert Lewis Scholars, Fellows & Leaders July program is done! 🎉 We welcomed back our incredible Cohort 4, had lunch at Anheuser-Busch, listened to a panel on Unity in Diversity, and began oral history project presentations. Stay tuned for more this week!

Five years ago today, we lost one of the genuinely great souls. He was a person who consistently chose to do what was right in the shadows, a quiet leader whose influence resonated across the globe. Congressman John Lewis, the boy from Troy.

Day 3 of FPI’s JRL July program was an unforgettable day from historic sites visits to heartfelt conversations. We heard from James E. Clyburn and Rep. Terri A. Sewell about carrying on the legacy of John Lewis and celebrated cohort 4's graduation from the program!

What a remarkable conclusion to FPI's 2025 JRL July program! 🙌 Cohort 4 did a workshop on storytelling with Dr. Nika White while Cohort 5 learned about dialogue across differences. If you or anyone you know is interested, applications for JRL Cohort 6 open in September!
