I guess it was a good day at church if the biggest problem is that no one brought donuts.

Question for the elders and deacons at your next congregational meeting: You claim to lead this church according to Scripture, so I was wondering how many times you've read the Bible since you've been here?

The cultural trend of cussing multiple times a sentence is very tiresome.

Sometimes, when people argue about their pet doctrines online, I just ignore it.

When Peter preached, 3,000 got saved. When Stephen preached, he was killed. Don’t judge ministry by results, but by faithfulness.

THEM: If it saves one soul, isn't it worth it? ME: Depends how many souls will be eternally destroyed because of it.

The bare minimum of "Wives respect your husbands," Is not telling everyone you see how terrible he is.

THEM: The God of the New Testament is nicer than the God of the Old Testament. ME: God is the same; the covenant changed.

There's nothing like waking up at two in the morning and lying in bed for three hours while your brain goes over and over your sermon.

What if God's Word is right, And your humanly devised system to dismiss what God's Word says is wrong? It's a possibility. Just throwing it out there.
