Today, I alongside artists Haseebah Ali & Hasna Khan each ran printmaking sessions at King Edward's School, in partnership with University of Birmingham's 'Culture Forward' initiative - 'Quran in the City’ I love the detail the students have captured in their prints. #ikon60

That’s the end of Start the Press Ikon My work created is inspired by my lived experience of epilepsy, 100 years after Edward Lear’s, & the stigma I have faced. Like Lear, I find solace in artistic practice & the landscape. This connection highlights the power of art.

It’s so great to see the work up on the walls, knowing patients got to pick what they wanted on the wall. So pleased to have been part of such a fantastic project. I can’t believe it all started with the delivery of art workshops. Well done to everyone involved they look great.

Final week to see Start the Press Ikon an exhibition of printmaking including eight regional artists work Taiba Akhtar, Simon Harris, Haseebah Ali Laura Onions Heather Peak, Satinder Parhar & Karen McLean & myself with a wonderful press from 1810 in the the gallery.
