Masks, distancing, test/trace are all important. If a safe and effective vaccine is available and trusted, it will be very important - as part of a continuing comprehensive response. As Professor Dale Fisher says, a vaccine is not going to bring a fairy tale ending to this pandemic.

Later today I administered the 1st dose of life-saving oral polio vaccine to this day-old baby at the Shuwari 5 IDP camp in Borno State. Indeed, no child should be left behind for 🇳🇬 to sustain the gains of #Polio eradication NPHCDA WHO Nigeria
