As part of science week, we have been learning about how astronauts adapt to life in space. In PE we trained like astronauts focusing on core strength and agility.

As part of Science Week, we conducted an investigation to see how craters are formed on the Moon.

This morning we made space pudding, it was out of this world!

This week in our RWI fresh start lessons, we have been reading a recipe on how to make lemon pancakes. Today we followed the recipe and made our own pancakes, they were yummy!!!

We have been sharing our learning by showcasing our space projects. I think you are all superSTARS!

Taking inspiration from the artist John Dyer, we used batik to create patterns on fabric before weaving the fabric strips to create our final eye catching design.

We had a fantastic day at Chester Zoo spotting some of the animals we have learnt about as part of our rainforest topic.

As part of our geography fieldwork we compared trees in our locality to those in the rainforest.

Taking inspiration from David Hockney we used colour mixing to create different shades and tints.

The day the circus came to school! We enjoyed learning new skills and showcasing our talents!

What a day! Not only did we get to create a rock band with Rock Steady but we also got to have a forest adventure. An excellent way to celebrate our last week in Year 5.
