Meet Sydney Bell Sydney Bell, Working hard from ocean to molecular lab! She is undertaking a PhD at James Cook Uni investigating biogeographic patterns in coral symbionts across Australia’s reefs! #DECRA Australian Research Council Exmouth Research Lab Minderoo Foundation

📣Meet the Scientists on tonight!! Come to @MuttsCafe at 6:30pm to learn about current marine research at the Exmouth Research LabLab Tonight's topics: 🪸🌙#Nyinggulu's mass coral spawn 🪚🐠 Critically endangered Green Sawfish in the #ExmouthGulf @ExmouthResearch UWA Oceans Institute James Cook Uni

We've had a incredible 10 days collecting #eDNA water samples to detect critically important #elasmobranchs in the Exmouth Gulf! A big thank you to the TOs and Exmouth locals for their extraordinary engagement in the project! Biodiversity and Conservation Science, Exmouth Research Lab Murdoch University

Congrats Alexandra Kler Lago on the completion of an incredible thesis! Well done indeed! 🎉🪸🌡️ Exmouth Research Lab

What a treat to host Ambassador Kennedy at the Minderoo Foundation Exmouth Research Lab Lab last week! An amazing opportunity to showcase the incredible science being conducted by the coral spawning team from Minderoo Foundation James Cook Uni and UWA Oceans Institute on the Nyinggulu Reef 🪸🧬

Another fantastic field trip comes to an end. So grateful to do research in #Ningaloo especially during spawning season. Already looking forward to coming back to the reef! UWA Oceans Institute Exmouth Research Lab

⏱The countdown is on! See Alexandra Kler Lago and Dr. Kate Quigley at Aust Coral Reef Soc in just under an hour! 🪸The topic: selective breeding for coral babies to cope with increasing ocean temps on the Nyinggulu Minderoo Foundation Exmouth Research Lab

Happy International Day for Biological Diversity🌿🌊 Thanks Protect Ningaloo for sharing incredible footage from the precious habitats we are working to conserve. Let's celebrate and protect the biodiversity that exists in the #ExmouthGulf and #NingalooReef today and every day.

The largest ray in the world, the oceanic manta, is seen feeding in the blue of Nyinggulu. Ningaloo and Exmouth Gulf support a core population of reef manta rays, whereas oceanics are migratory, and we have so much to learn about this endangered species. 📽️ Louis Richter
