Thanks to the CSA collection - Every Icon is in the Pompidou, both NFT and classic versions collected. The Whitney has Color Panel v1.0 and Blossoming - both physical art appliances - but not Every Icon. In 1997 not many institutions believed in collecting fully digital art.

This is an incredible incomplete list. I am sweating just thinking about how I’m going to have to carve this down to 50 at year end.

A blast from 16 years ago and that great studio on 39th street in NYC - so much has changed and I am still drawing every day. 😀 Thanks for the thread NB !

Digital Art in 2008: The Infinite Possibilities of Code "You can make it anything—it’s anything. There’s no right answer in programming; it’s as creative as drawing, it’s every possibility. That’s the really amazing thing." - John F. Simon Jr. (John F Simon Jr) From Pluto

Thanks NB for a great summary of Art Basel Miami - this booth of Sandra’s in 2002 was a knockout with Leo Villareal, Xavier Veihan, and many others. So happy to have been part of the early digital.

Thank you for the memories, NB - putting together the Color Panel v1.0 edition cost around $12,000 in 1999 - about one year’s rent for me - and luckily Sandra Gering sold out the edition in two weeks. Buying 15+ laptops to rip apart was risky and fun #artappliance

Thank you █▓▒░CSA2D7░▒▓█ - I just found out a selection of these NFTs, including Every Icon, will be exhibited this spring at Pom Pom Pompidou in Lille, France- as part of the Lille3000 festival - fiestalille3000.com/exposition/pom…
