One of the lines that is an alarm bell for booksellers is ‘there’s just no place in the house for any more books’. Mostly comes from those who have just renovated their houses. Sad. We were poorer with much lesser space and money. Have seen it all.

That was so nice of you to spend time in the bookshop. No coffee. No music. Just two people looking at the books, laughing occasionally, pointing at paras of humour or horror, picking up a book of poetry too. What a lovely sight it was. I did not want to disturb you. Thank you.
