Malawi Liverpool Wellcome Programme Our next keynote speaker Professor Jeremiah Chakaya is an expert in respiratory health and TB. He is a founding member of the Respiratory Society of Kenya and serves as a technical expert for the Kenyan National TB Programme.

Our afternoon keynote was delivered by Liz Corbett, a Clinical Epidemiologist with specialty training in infectious diseases. Her special research interest is in diagnostic intervention strategies for HIV and TB.

We were pleased to welcome TulipMazumdar to chair a two-part keynote panel discussion looking ahead to the next 125 years of global health. Two incredibly rich conversations occurred, bringing in threats of future pandemics, vaccine hesitancy and plateaus in progress.


TulipMazumdar However, the potential offered by technological advancements, gene drive and cross-disciplinary working between scientific disciplines and beyond were all identified as opportunities in a fascinating and wide-ranging conversation.
