The bark of the Spotted Gum (Corymbia maculata) sheds irregularly in flakes, creating that fabulous mottled appearance. Fresh bark is cream or green, & matures through shades of silver, blue, grey & sometimes pink to red or brown, before shedding to reveal the new bark beneath.
