The Ambassador of Ireland to Ethiopia Brennan Nicola visited the EAS. Professor Tsige Gebre-Mariam, President of the EAS, welcomed the guests and briefed them about the history, establishment, objectives, and the various projects that the Academy has been undertaking.

New Zealand Embassy to Ethiopia Visited #EAS Headquarters Prof. Tsige G/ Mariam, President of the Ethiopian Academy of Sciences and its management, welcomed the Deputy Head of Mission New Zealand to Ethiopia Oliva Owen and discussed the points which they can do in partnership.

The Ethiopian Academy of Sciences (EAS) is pleased to announce that Dr. Alemayehu Seyoum, EAS Board Member & Fellow of EAS is elected as a Fellow of the Econometric Society, an international society for the advancement of economic theory in relation to statistics and mathematics.

The Ethiopian Academy of Sciences, in coordination with Bahir Dar University, conducted a pre-workshop at the 2022 International Conference on Advancements of Science and Technology (ICAST).

The EAS’s Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Center won the 7th MoE’ prize. The STEM Center of the Academy finished in a nationwide competition with 3rd of prizes.
