Yesterday’s NJ Senate hearing on a bill to gut the Comptroller’s investigatory powers was a disgrace. Senator Beach - with intent and malice- made the AG, the Comptroller, and U.S. Senator Andy Kim sit through five and a half hours of delay tactics before letting them speak.

Let’s not let the disrespectful treatment of our Senator and AG distract from the fact that these proposals - to strip the state Comptroller’s office of its power to fight corruption as well as remove the state police from the AG’s office- are just plain bad for New Jersey.
