Each year on #AshWednesday we use the Service of Commination from the Book of Common Prayer. It's not for the faint-hearted, but it speaks profoundly of our need for God’s mercy. As ever, thanks to all at Lambeth Palace for your patience and forbearance.

Please pray today for evangelical bishops in the Church of England to stand firm for Jesus amidst all the pressures of their role.

St Andrews Plymouth. Now here is a faithful church. A clear doctrinal position. They still believe in the doctrine of the 1662 prayer book. If the rest of the CofE was more like them this country would be very different. And they are a thriving church too!
