Really loved a Lisa Swieringa episode of #honestauthorspodcast & thought I'd read the presenters' own books starting with #WrongPlaceWrongTime Gillian McAllister. It's a cracker! Before 2024 I'd read few Crime books. I'm a convert with so many strong women writers in the genre atm.

#ThenSheWasGone another great book by Lisa Jewell. I listened to the audio. But Penguin Books did not record the Epilogue/ending to the story. This is now the 15th #penguinbook #audiobook with Prologue/epilogue missing. Disrespects author's work to chop off start or ending.

Loved #NoneOfThisIsTrue by Lisa Jewell However it's the 5th Penguin Books in a row failing to put the whole book into audible. Penguin recorded up to 96% chopping the ending off! There's more in the text vwrsion but how do blind people access it? Disrespects authors' words too!

#NoneOfThisIsTrue by Lisa Jewell is gripping. It works so well as an audiobook with podcast snippets dramatised. Someone has to adapt this for TV/Film, it'd be amazing on the screen. With Lisa Jewell screenwriting too of course. I can even see this as a theatre piece.

Just to let you know @penguinbooks I cancelled Audible book #FakingFriends Jane Fallon because I need it for vision, but narration is not available for Prologue. It skips start of story, goes straight to next Chapter. I'm sure author wouldn't like cutting part of story out!

Reading #GettingRidOfMatthew by Jane Fallon as I missed it at first. I love it. It's funny tinged with British pathos, Can see this as a TV series in a #FLEABAG #PhoebeWallerBridges style production for BBC2. Pure British farce. Or has it already been done and I missed that too?

Just purchased a Kindle & audiobook version of Boy George 's memoir. I wasn't a CC fan but a fan of what he stood for. People forget, or don't know, how difficult it was to be yourself in the 80s. I was shunned by my family & deemed unemployable just for having bleach blonde hair

How disappointed I am, to have read some books by Christina Dalcher & enjoyed them, only to find out she's a TERF. In addition to her views, it's the hateful, public way they're expressed . Now I know, I'm going to delete her books & audiobooks from eBooks & Audiobooks library.
