The #OlympicGames changed my life as a kid. Watching made me want to be an athlete and launched me on my journey of competitive figure skating, and that experience is a fundamental part of who I am today. Part of the magic to me is thinking of all the kids having that moment now.

The last gymnast in a rotation has 1 minute to express intent to file an inquiry while other gymnasts have until the next gymnast’s score appears (approximately 3 minutes). Jordan Chiles (via her coach) verbally inquired at 1 minute and four seconds — four seconds too late.

Don’t have the words right now. But this is so unacceptable & heartbreaking. No athlete should ever go through this. This is unfair & cruel. Athlete fairness & athlete mental health matters. Athletes should not suffer from mistakes that are out of their control. & the bullying

An athlete should only be stripped of a medal for doping or cheating. The athlete should never be punished retroactively for a mistake made in scoring or enforcing rules. Just give them both a bronze medal! Think of pairs skating in 2002!

If this happened to me they would have to pry that medal out of my cold, dead hands.
