Time to dust off the old frost/freeze graphic. To be clear, while tonight will be chilly, the Rochester region should not be cold enough for frost. Patchy frost is most likely across Lewis, Cattaraugus & Allegany counties.

We have an absolutely gorgeous week ahead with abundant sunshine through (roughly) Friday. I have a feeling our luck will run out by Saturday to the tune of heavier rainfall. Until then, enjoy!

Wildfire smoke has returned, kicking off a spectacular sunset this evening over Lake Ontario.

Wildfire smoke aloft (no impact to surface air quality) has become quite noticeable again. With otherwise clear skies overhead, expect a vibrant sunset this evening. Sunset time in Rochester is 7:39pm.

Relatively cool & breezy, Sunday's #Bills forecast hasn't changed much. Lake Erie could spit out a few light showers with winds gusting to 30 mph at times. Between those showers, there should be some sunshine. #BillsMafia

It's been one heck of a stretch this week. Sunshine continues to dominate this afternoon, likely for the last time. Our Friday marks the arrival of a cold front & shift back to inclement weather (to a degree). Soak this up while you can!

Quicker in, quicker out? We continue to see signs of our cold front arriving faster than initially advertised. While this would introduce rain into our late Friday forecast, it would also kick (most of it) out beyond Saturday morning, salvaging the day.

If I'm being honest, I'll take this. Once we get behind this late Friday-early Saturday soaking, prospects for wet weather quickly become thin again next week.
