The only thing stopping our kids from safely biking from A-B is the roads, not their ability. Today’s Haringey Cycling ride proved that, with riders from age 3 to their 80s! If we want to reduce traffic, safe sts for cycling are the only way forward. Let’s give everyone freedom!

Or petition for mass transit & chat to *all* your friends in safety while avoiding the isolation, costs & risks of car dependency...

The national figures involving e-scooters are dwarfed by motoring KSI figures just for London, which sees some 5,000 hit and run incidents involving drivers each year. When are we going to end *that* experiment and ban cars from the capital entirely...?

Who could have guessed that forcing car dependency on kids would be so lethal? Now a DOT wants them to drive alone, multiplying the number of cars & VMT on roads - a sure fire way to increase danger & collisions. Wouldn't public transport be the sensible & safer alternative...?

This & similar streets will never be safer with just this kind of deterrent. If only there was some mechanism that could prevent drivers speeding before they do it, rather than issue tickets & fines retrospectively...

Clarification: this measure *is* about road safety - Birmingham residents have been campaigning for safer streets for ages & now they're one step closer. All Richard's hysterical pearl-clutching over "restricting the public's mobility" is undiluted bullshit...
