HUMANE: Another twisted Cronenberg product (from David's daughter Caitlin), dark and mildly satiric, about a man (Peter Gallagher) who volunteers for euthanasia and the overly zealous euthanasist (Veronica Mars' dad) who comes to do the job. Fun, respectable trash.

Great time to be a hater, many things suck and many people are stupid

BOY KILLS WORLD: Bloody, gruesome action comedy about a deaf-mute man trying to topple a totalitarian regime. Some laughs and good fights, some interesting characters, and not another thought in its head. You either accept Bob’s Burgers as the man’s inner voice, or you don’t.

THE COFFEE TABLE: Very dark comedy in which a terrible thing occurs and then an idiot makes things worse. Not laugh-out-loud funny so much as I-can't-believe-they're-doing-this funny. I loved it. Right up my alley. I can think of maybe 10 people I could recommend it to.

HUNDREDS OF BEAVERS is funny! But in no sane world is 108 minutes the right length for a live-action slapstick Looney Tunes comedy.

Okay but what if DUNE was a comedy? Fan trailer by yours truly.

A visitor to Provo in late April is struck by two things: the beauty of the mountains and the earlyness of the BYU graduation.

I saw a Cybertruck in the wild for the first time. It was nearly as hilarious as I’d hoped (it wasn’t on fire).

I rewatched the RISE/DAWN/WAR OF/FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES trilogy the last few nights, and I'll tell you what, these things are great. I'd forgotten how much I enjoyed each one of them. Where my Mauriceheads at? #WhyCookieRocket

This movie is absolutely delightful, and it's a shame it's been captured by Netflix. (It's also a shame that Netflix doesn't like making money, but that's their problem, not mine.)
