Of course the WH is hosting a “Black Excellence Brunch.” Black Excellence is an elitist, capitalist, & assimilationist framework that doesn’t challenge the status quo. Nixon uplifted Black capitalism and the DNC Black Excellence, all that so people don’t turn to Black Power.

Some folks don’t mind a little pandering as long as they get to dance, feel good and be in proximity to those in power. And proximity isn’t power. We need a cultural revolution as well.

Finally building community in Long Beach and LA. 😭 It’s hard af to make friends in your 30’s, especially if you’re shy and introverted, but I’ve been pushing myself to get out a little more and it’s paying off.

Reducing my analysis that has been formed through direct experience & studying our history to “hating” & “crashing out” just speaks to how unserious some folks are. With these folks, you just gotta hit them w/ the “no doubt” & keep it pushing. There’s work to be done offline.
