We’ve signed a new gas sales agreement with Austria’s largest energy company OMV Group. The 5-year agreement starts 1 October, has an annual volume of 12 TWh, and adds to the volumes under existing contracts.

We’ve acquired a 25% interest in Bayou Bend, which is positioned to be one of the largest US carbon capture & storage projects for industrial emitters. Bayou Bend has 140,000 acres for permanent CO2 sequestration & gross potential storage resources of over 1 billion metric tons.

The world’s largest floating offshore wind farm, Hywind Tampen, was opened today by 🇳🇴 Crown Prince Haakon & 🇳🇴 prime minister Jonas Gahr Støre. The farm has eleven 280-metre turbines connected to the Gullfaks & Snorre fields, and will cut CO2 emissions by ~200,000 tonnes/year 💨

The campaign to install the first turbine at Dogger Bank Wind Farm is underway 💨

Once complete, Dogger Bank will become the world’s largest offshore wind farm, an important step in delivering on the UK Government’s offshore wind goals.

With the acquisition of Rio Energy, we strengthen our position as a broad energy company in the Brazilian market 🇧🇷

The Norwegian authorities have approved the development & operation plans of subsea fields Irpa & Verdande, and production well Andvare in the Norwegian Sea. Gas field Irpa will be tied back to Aasta Hansteen, whereas oil field Verdande & Andvare well will be tied back to Norne.

Zagórzyca, our second Polish solar plant, has now started test production. It will operate for 30 years & produce 61 GWh of power/year ☀️

This is another step towards building a material renewables portfolio in Poland – one of Europe’s most rapidly growing renewable markets 🇵🇱

We’ve signed a new purchase agreement over more than 15 years w/ Cheniere Energy Inc. of ca 1.75 million tonnes of LNG/year, with half the volume starting from 2027.

The agreement doubles to ca 3.5 million tonnes/year the LNG volumes we’ll export out of Cheniere’s US Gulf coast terminals.
