Shoutout to Council President Rachel Miller for listening to the community and voting against leasing the Carl G. Lauro building to a big box charter school network. Our traditional public schools deserve support, not handoffs. #WeWillRemember

President Rachel Miller did what was in the best interest of Providence Public Schools. She will go down in history for saving PPSD at a time when our public schools are under attack. Now it’s time for Prov. municipalities to collaborate on returning our schools to local control. Providence City Council

Rhode Island Energy is playing too many games with Rhode Islanders. This type of customer service cannot be happening when our residents are already paying alot of money in energy bills.

This year, PPSD celebrated its highest number of CTE graduates in history. We’re working to build the best Career and Technical Education programs in the country. Together, we’ll make Providence a national model for CTE!

As a Providence School Board member, I want to thank Rachel Miller for listening to the voices of our city. And for standing with our communities by withdrawing support for the proposed lease to Excel Academy. This is a win for African, refugee, immigrant, and all Providence

It’s not baffling- she listened to her constituents. That’s what leaders do. Rachel Miller is committed to finding a use for the building that does not take away from Providence Public School students.

About time our Rhode Island state government start holding Rhode Island energy accountable. Ya era hora de que nuestro gobierno del estado de Rhode Island comience a responsabilizar a la compania energía de Rhode Island.

Baltimore has been investing youth programming, including late night programs, summer camps, teen jobs, sports, after school programs, etc. Homicides in the city are down 40%, with steep drops in robberies, carjackings, and shootings. This should be talked about more.

RI Energy’s schemes are in the news yet again. This last legislative session had numerous proposed bills at the State House to take on the unaccountable RI Energy monopoly and reduce costs for families. The Rhode Island House of Representatives and Rhode Island Senate chose not to pass a single one of them.

In the next presidential administration we need to abolish ICE, strip them from their power and charge all their current officials and foot soldiers for crimes against the state, violation of constitutional rights and violation of human rights.
