3 steps* I think would make a huge difference to quality of life and retention in Secondaries.

1. Release some pressure on GCSEs and grades.
2. End data culture.
3. Encourage subjects to be subjects.

We often talk about reading as if novels were the only things that existed, but what about non-fiction, poetry, picture books, comics, manga, sports reports? All of these are forms of reading, and all are valid in and of themselves. Read whatever YOU want to read! #literacy
