(2) NCA's team was led by Public Works PS Mr. Joel Arumonyang, CBS, NCA Board Chair Ms. Mercy Okiro and NCA Executive Director Eng. Maurice Akech,MBS. The interactive session took place in Nanyuki and saw the county renew its commitment towards full implementation of the Code ^WK

The Building Code 2024 which underwent adequate legislation through Parliament will transform how construction is carried out by promoting innovation of new materials & technologies that will benefit the development of the construction sector,esp the affordable housing programme.

The new Building Code promotes economic & environmental sustainability through various provisions including energy efficiency,water conservation,sustainable material use & waste management. It encourages green building practices, resilient designs & the use of renewable energy.

On Friday, 25th July 2025, NCA & Nairobi Centre for International Arbitration signed an MoU to boost collaboration in research, training & ADR in the construction sector. The pact will enhance capacity building for contractors, site supervisors & workers on Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR).^SO
