The rendering that #F1 #Alpine circulated of its A526 was intentionally way off at the front suspension. This is what looks to be the actual arrangement, including some hugely inclined upper wishbones:

Judging from suspension pick-up point flick-ups @ chassis side, #F1 #McLaren #mcl40 either reverted to a “conventional” arrangement, or re-arranged location of susp./steering. May still be muti-link and (from 3D model) arranged similar to SF-26 but w/ steering ahead of axle.

#F1 #Alpine #A526 front suspension arrangement pretty much confirmed, but one possible reason for extreme incline on the fr. suspension upper WB is to achieve an upper link angle (sloped up outboard) to reduce roll center height and improve camber gain. 🤔 x.com/engdesigning/s…

#F1 #McLarenF1 #MCL40 suspension/steering layout… and compared to MCL39, #RedBullRacing RB22 and #FerrariSF26… all multi-link, all different!

CORRECTED: #F1 #McLarenF1 #MCL40 suspension/steering layout, compared to MCL39, #RedBullRacing RB22 and #FerrariSF26… all multi-link, all different! MCL40 keeps steering rack and track rod low and behind lower forward link but looks to be steering behind steer axis, like MCL38.

First assessment of #F1 #AstonMartinF1 #AMR26 front suspension shows another application of pushrod + multi-link lower “wishbone”. Arrangement looks to be similar to last year’s MCL39. x.com/engdesigning/s…
