The humanitarian nightmare in Gaza continues. This week has seen horrifying strikes that hit civilians at a seafront cafe, the blocking of aid and unacceptable evacuation orders in northern Gaza. We need a ceasefire now, unrestrained aid into Gaza & the release of all hostages

When I stood on the steps of Downing Street nearly a year ago, I promised this would be a government of service. Our public sector workers embody that spirit of service. Together, we will rebuild Britain.

Civilians in Gaza must be protected from attack and able to access aid without fear. Devastated to hear about the killing of women and children waiting in line for aid yesterday. The UK Government calls for an immediate and independent investigation into this incident.

The appalling scenes in Gaza are unrelenting. The UK will pull every lever we have to get food and lifesaving support to Palestinians, and we will evacuate children who need urgent medical assistance. This humanitarian catastrophe must end.
