Great to see the latest iBRA study publication in Annals of Surgery. RT adversely impacts quality of life 18 months after implant-based reconstruction even when biological mesh is used. Important for decision-making Emma Sewart ABS National Institute for Health and Care Research

👩‍🔬Proud to present the 18 month patient-reported outcomes of iBRA in BJS Open 🤨No improvement in PROs for patients with mesh-assisted sub-pec reconstructions 🤔?benefit from pre-pec reconstruction 🤓We (and our patients!) need an RCT! iBRA-NET #bestbra ASGBI @CSR_Bris

Coverage this morn of the appalling Sarah Everard case misses the point, with emphasis on how rare abduction and murder is. The outcry it’s initiated is about women being in fear of harassment and assault while out after dark. And that, dismally, is not rare. The fear is endemic.
