'the Health and Safety Investigations Branch (now under MNSI) who, in the end, refused to engage directly with the family & failed to use the errors in Finn’s care in order to form part of their education & findings'

Is this because it would seriously undermine birth centres?

Important report out today from the parliamentary Birth Trauma Inquiry, led by Rosie Duffield MP & Theo Clarke MP. I wrote this last year on the terrible fact that maternity services are the most unsafe part of the NHS.

Some birth choices are actively withheld from women. Look at my NHS birth notes from OUH Maternity 2021. How can we have & adherence to if we have ‘promotion of normal birth’ & ‘strong recommendation of VBAC’? Inquiry

I really hope this suggestion intends to include bereaved mothers, who are often completely forgotten by everyone postnatal and need that physical and mental health support as much, if not more, than other mothers.

Lord Bethell Or because women from BAME backgrounds are believed to have higher pain tolerances, to be ignored by HCPs, to be accused of being difficult if they raise concerns - all known problems in the NHS

An inquiry looking into birth trauma had called for a huge overhaul of maternity and postnatal care.

A group of MPs say they heard 'harrowing' evidence from over 1,300 women.

It's estimated 30,000 women a year suffer negative experiences during birth and one in 20 develop PTSD.…

Until recently I'd believed my second birth to have been awful but normal. I now realise that 2 hours with a distressed baby waiting for C-section is unacceptable. This was with the BEST care they could offer after my first child's death. The system is BROKEN

Protect your children from this potentially deadly disease by allowing them to have the very safe vaccine

If you’re worried, talk to you GP

Don’t let anti-vaccination untruths harm your child

Robert Wilson Re IA, it is more than not following guidelines, the very intervention is put into❓️
'in practice, there are challenges with IA that mean it may not always be a reliable or sensitive tool'
2019 review 🟰 'limited evidence base underpinning IA'

Should IA be dropped?

Rosalie Nancy Barley made her appearance on Friday 3rd May, coming screaming into the world. Born by caesarean, only her head was out of my body when she started to screech.

Having a living baby is the best thing ever & I'm missing Bea even more now. So in love with my girls ❤️

“Some of these changes don’t cost a penny; it’s about treating women with respect, listening to them and treating them as grown ups.”

“It’s about changing attitudes, isn’t it Hannah, which you know, doesn’t cost money, it doesn’t take more midwives it’s about changing attitudes”
