After being no fault evicted in January I have found it IMPOSSIBLE to find somewhere to live as a theatre designer in London. So fed up and it is the driving factor in my considering throwing in the towel on a job and industry I love.

Sally Rooney on the psychological toll of renting:

In 2020 I made a little WhatsApp group for the designers I knew, who felt like they didn't fit in the graduate or the 'established' category. It had about 7 people in. Today the group made 100 members, all supporting each other in the wacky difficult world of theatre. 🥳
