I try to share with other people that the ultimate source of happiness is within us; it’s not found in money and fame. I promote fundamental human values on the basis of scientific findings and common sense. Evidence that basic human nature is compassionate is a source of hope.

I think keeping myself busy by working on my research proposal has eased some of the anxiety I have about the current crisis we are in.

To my womxn of color: remember to take time for yourself, it's never a selfish act. The world will not fall apart if you do. The people you love and care for will still be standing. Even if it's just for 30 min, do it for the well-being of your soul.

Dr. Carla Davis was a true mentor to many. She really wanted students to think criticality and put their values into action. I hope that we find ways to change society for the better and pay people for ALL of their labor. #BeloitCollege #BeloitProud
