There are two types of competition: competing against yourself to grow and competing against others to win. One builds a dynamic school culture, while the other can divide it. Strive to be better than you were yesterday—your only real competition is yourself.

True statement. But if you’re like me and sometimes need to send an email at that moment so you don’t forget, hit that glorious “schedule send” button so that the recipient receives it during school hours. As leaders, it is critical that we respect this family first

Leaders challenge others to be better without tearing them down. Honest feedback is part of the process—but growth only happens if you’re willing to receive it.

Had the best week with my best girl. We didn’t fix our hair a single time and we ate like queens. Quality time is our love language and we are starting a new week with full hearts. Blessings abound!

I read this book over the break. Emily Paschall said, “Love your school and the people who fill it.” Well I do, and I’m looking forward to seeing all my #CPSbest #TrustyHuskies tomorrow!

So good. Before we lecture a kid for sleeping in class, forgetting a pencil, or missing school—pause. Maybe they don’t need a consequence. Maybe they just need a hug, a snack, or someone who sees them. Getting to the root of the problem is always the best way.

Great teams aren’t made of the most talented—they’re made of the most committed. Leaders don’t build on talent alone. They build around attitude, effort, and love for the people beside them—nonnegotiables that turn individuals into a force. 👊Show up. 👊Work hard. 👊Lift

A principal’s most important job is to support teachers. When teachers are supported, kids are supported. It’s as simple as that. #multiplyexcellence

Two teachers can teach the same lesson and get completely different results. The difference? Passion and creativity. The power isn’t in the program—it’s in the magic the teacher brings. #multiplyexcellence

I was today years old when a teacher called me out for ChatGPTing my email reply. Guilty as charged. We laughed (and laughed) and then brainstormed more ways AI can do the thinking for us. 🤣 This is 2025!! Work smarter, not harder, right?

When a teacher you used to coach texts you to say SHE GOT THE JOB… “Your passion became mine.” 🥹 My heart is bursting with pride and excitement! This is why I coach — to see others shine with the same fire. So grateful to have been part of this journey.

How I feel about getting to interview future teachers next week. May we all hold on to the same passion that a new teacher exudes from the interview chair. “When you know your why, your what has more impact because you’re walking in and toward your purpose.”

🔺Culture isn’t just policies, procedures, or relationships. 🔹It’s what happens when those things don’t work. 🔺It’s how we respond to ‘that kid’. 🔹It’s finding a way to reach every kid. ‼️Culture is doing whatever it takes.‼️ #MultiplyExcellence
