Today, on 11th of October, Georgian national 🇬🇪at the premises of Georgia in Iran flies half-mast to pay a tribute to the victims of collapsed residential building #Batumi 8/10/21

Online conference was held by the Embassy of 🇬🇪 in Tehran and #CCSI🇮🇷. From Georgian side H.E ambassador 🇬🇪 Ioseb Chakhvashvili and counselor Giorgi Sakhltkhutsishvili took part. Topics of conference were Geo-IRI relations and the latest developments in South Caucasus region.

Georgia 🇬🇪, along with 80 other states, co-sponsored the #UNSC resolution, which was vetoed by Russia 🇷🇺. The issue will move to UNGA. We reiterate full support to our 🇺🇦 friends at all the possible international platforms. We #StandWithUkraine.

I've held a ☎️ conversation with EU High Representative Josep Borrell Fontelles. Discussed security situation in 🇬🇪 and I expressed gratitude to the 🇪🇺 for supporting our country. We strongly condemn 🇷🇺-led military aggression taking place in 🇺🇦 and we #StandWithUkraine.

Today is a historic day for 🇬🇪, we have officially applied for the Membership of the European Union 🇪🇺. We have proved that we are a part of the European family & 🇪🇺 path is an irreversible choice for the Georgian people!

Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi has handed the questionnaire to Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili. 🇬🇪's European integration has now been upgraded to another level. We're looking forward to continuing working in this direction & achieving the ultimate goal - becoming the member of the 🇪🇺!

By receiving the questionnaire, we have made another major step forward on the path of our people's national choice - 🇪🇺 integration! Many thanks, Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi. 🇬🇪 will spare no efforts to timely fill in the document and proceed to the next stages!

28th of June, 30th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relationship between #Georgia and the Islamic Republic of Iran was marked in the Institute for Political and International Studies.

Very proud to see Tbilisi being a venue for a meeting between 🇦🇿 FM @bayramov_jeyhun and 🇦🇲 FM Ararat Mirzoyan. Feel confident that our joint efforts to build peace and stability in the region will yield results.

Each& every one of us is truly devastated by the tragic helicopter crash in #Gudauri that took the lives of 8 heroes, the heroes that lost their lives while rushing to save others. My heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims& to the entire🇬🇪. We stand united in grief.
